Saturdays in the city.

I don't like living in Tallinn. I'm not really a fan of big cities. I have never wanted to live in USA or become a business-woman. No way! I have dreamed about quiet bohemian life in small town or on lonely beach. But I have to admit that im city-girl. I have lived all my life in Tallinn - in big cold business centre, capital of Estonia. In the city where nobody shows theyr real soul and heart. Here is a lot of people and at the same time it is the most loneliest place you can imagene. Place what i love and hate - my home.

But i love to go to city centre on Saturdays, buy something cool from Balti Station market, for about 1 euro from some old russian "baba" and tell her after paying "spasiba bolshoje"("thank u very much" - one of few russian expressions i ever use). Cool is that if u say "aitäh" ("thank you" in Estonian) they answer in Russian, but when you thank them in theyr mother language, they answer in Estonian. That's the respect we are waiting from them in here, but this is the simpliest
example that u have to earn that respect with respecting them too.

I love going to Art House and show my art-school student card, get in free, smileing to cloack-room lady. I go upstairs, grab few flaiers about art events comeing up soon. I go by art works, tring to figure out theyr point (true, sometimes i don't find it... i bet nobody actully does, but they just have to say they do... i don't because im not" responsible grown up" yet:D ).
I find works i love, i find works i hate, i find works what i don't care about. And then write. Write and write. Write my own thoughts, my point of view about the exhibition. I find it freeing. I think that's what i want to do.

After that i usually go to bookshop. Find some cheap tomes in English.

And most of all i love walking in cold by the city streets, by Old Town steets, looking ppl and drinking milk-coffee what i have brought from my favorite underground coffee-shop.
Thees are the moments when i can enjoy being alone and unknown in mass of people. This is the time for myself.

And on thees Satrdays I am happy to be homo sapiens urbs.

Lugesin esimest sissekannet, pean ütlema, et "very impressive"! Ei osanud arvata, et kirjutad niivõrd hästi, ausaltöeldes ei oska ma paljude inimeste kohta midagi arvata. Kirjanik- mõtle selle ameti peale, kindlasti kohe! :)
